See the fxp(4) man page for additional ifconfig options
you can pass to the driver... eg.

(in /etc/rc.conf)

ifconfig_fxp0="inet 10.0.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 \
                media 100BaseTX mediaopts full-duplex"
