I have Portege 7020CT. The problem you describe (if I read it correctly)
might be related to the display setting in BIOS (Stretch enabled).
However, the stretching is implemented in very weird way - the screen font
in normal 80x25 mode is a bit ugly, so I use 80x43 with small font all the
time. It looks ok, and gives you additional lines as well.. :-)
