is this really a sysctl property for 5-current ? 
i get:

$ sysctl hw.allow_unsuported_io_range=1
sysctl: unknown oid 'hw.allow_unsupported_io_range'

i ran sysctl -a | grep -i allow and man 8 sysctl | grep allow  but have
not fount the property u mentioned.
