Yes, but then how does one ever eradicate "those antiquated and unsafe
protocols" from the system?  Is there a way to make rmt work without
rshd?  There will be a lot of unexpected breakage I'm sure.  Perhaps
it should be documented what normal use programs (like
rdump/rrestore/tar using rmt) will break if you turn off certain
services that are currently on by default.
