hi, i run a 2-1.STABLE as of somewhere in september. about once a month the machine produces a panic, possibly due to async mounts, that seems to hose some files once in while. i don't use async mounts anymore, but i read about some adaptec problem that might also be a cause. so, can i use my good ol' sup installation for 2.1-stable to get 2.1.7.1 without further ado? should i, stabiltity-wise? the machine is far away, and i don't intend to travel... TIA, hb
