 Hi,
 
 Does running dev_mkdb(8) make any difference?  It is run at system
 start time.  If during system run time you create more nodes in /dev,
 then you should rerun dev_mkdb to update /var/run/dev.db (which is
 where ps and other utilities eventually looks for device names).
