Since changes only go into the stable branch from being in the current branch, you can easily say that (N+1).0 contains everything N.x contains. If you wish to contribute to backporting and solidifying the stable branch, your patches to the current branch, to subsequently be applied to the stable branch, are eagerly awaited.
