 | Solaris/other for booting diskless PC's.

 | Any RTFM's, pointers, others experiences on this?

 | Can I turn a diskless PC into an X-terminal ??

I've done some experimentation with PicoBSD along these lines.
Basicaly I've been thinking about using a boot floppy to get things
going then take over at rc.diskless1. There is also a manual page
for pxeboot(8) but I don't know anything about it.
