Actually it was AMI who told me this today.  They were not completely sure
that it was support to be one byte, but they will be checking into it.
The next byte is actually where the harddrive structure begins and I
guess we have been lucky that it has been zero on other bios's.

I first noticed this on the Tyan Thunder 251x series motherboards.
