Before we go much further on this, I've put up some samples at

The front page, and the two links "Project News" and "FreeBSD Press"
work.  Everything else is unlikely to.

This is just proof of concept.  But it's probably better to comment on
these than same of the comments I made in my original posting.

This is actually pretty easy to do.  We just change the stylesheet, and
generate a new set of pages with a different, simpler, stylesheet.
Providing a "Print this page" link on each page would be trivial.
