So let me ask a question, we;re only concerned with building on 4 and 5
now then? not 3?

I was attempting to make sure that systems without <sys/soundcard.h> were
not effected, but if the case is that only 4 and 5 should build then
chances are none of the patches applied to make things work on freebsd
prior to 4-RELEASE in regards to this specific issue are needed, right?
