What I've did is replacing of non-koi8-r characters in those fonts with
other non-koi-8-r characters (koi8-u ones). This obviously doesn't make
those fonts less working or more broken.

I didn't break anything - see above. I'm still demanding that you either
back out your commit or fix those fonts to be true koi8-r. Only in the
latter case you will have a ground to complain.
