What configuration changes have you made? I have standard /etc/pam.d from latest -current. Before I'll send you my /etc/ssh config, I think there is more simple way to find it out. I have a question: which one prompt _you_ have? If there is a year 2002 present, it comes from ssh. It means that with standard /etc/pam.d pam_print_messages() still prints something in my case for unknown reason. If there is no 2002, it comes from pam_print_messages(). It means you have no print lastlogin option in your sshd config. Check for PrintLastLog yes -- Andrey A.
