I just upgraded from 2.1.6 to 2.2GAMMA(2-15-97). I put the following command in /etc/fbtab: /dev/ttyv0 0600 /dev/console and I put the following in /etc/rc.local: /usr/X11R6/bin/xdm This worked in 2.1.6 but it does not work in 2.2GAMMA. I get the xdm login screen but when I enter the username and password, the screen switces to a grey background, sits for a couple of seconds, and then goes back to the login screen. Is this a known problem in 2.2, or do I need to do something different to set up xdm?
