You might want to go back and re-read his post.  He mentioned standards and to
consider the options, not "use bash!".  He is obviously much more familiar with
bash than the other available options that should be considered, or at least
feels that bash is a good shell to consider.

If you re-read it you will see he mentions that those who are to make this
decision should spend a LOT of time getting to know ALL of the shells out there
before they make that choice.

Stop trying to make this a matter of personal differences and preference.
