over the past few days I've been upgrading all the gnome components on my workstation. Everything looked like it was going smoothly until I did a make install in /usr/ports/x11/gnome. Shortly after that netscape crashed(oh boy, what a surprise). I tried to restart it using the netscape icon in my panel and it didn't start. I started it by doing netscape & from an eterm and it started. After starting netscape that way the panel icon behaves normally, but if I close netscape and try to use the icon it fails to start. I checked my startx_log and I see that if netscape isn't running clicking the panel icon produces the following error... /usr/local/lib/netscape-linux/communicator-linux-4.77.bin: error in loading shared libraries: /usr/X11R6/lib/libxalflaunch.so.0: ELF file OS ABI invalid. xalf: timeout launching /bin/sh ...but if netscape is already running there is no error. any ideas? -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Daniel Frazier <dfrazier@magpage.com> Tel: 302-239-5900 Ext. 231 Systems Administrator Fax: 302-239-3909 MAGPAGE, We Power the Internet WWW: http://www.magpage.com/ "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759.
