It only affects FreeBSD kernels if built with the XENHVM option. I just tested it on a NetBSD-6 Xen dom0 and it does indeed fix this (I started seeing this problem after an upgrade to pkgsrc-2012Q4; Christoph: would you be interested in this patch?)
