I've been dreading this for over a year now. It's going to reach critical soon. FreeBSD 10 is dropping gcc in favour of Clang (because the current version of gcc is GPL 3, which is too incompatible with the BSD license/philosophy - a debate for elsewhere). gcc is still available in ports, and as it's not having to be part of the base system, I hope it'll be a newer version. My question is: Can I dump CLang and replace it with gcc and re-compile everything once it's installed? Supplementary question: Does anyone have the runes? Thanks, Frank.
