Hello, I've been having trouble backing up with Amanda, and the dmesg shows the following. At the bottom of the list, there's: sd0(ncr0:0:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:9c,0 vnode_pager_input: I/O read error vm_fault: pager input (probably hardware) error, PID 27 failure I've tried re-formating the disk, but still the same error. Prior to this, I had to restore the disk because of a bad file descriptor. Should I return the HD, or is this a software problem, ie. needs patching?
