B-29 or some such maybe.  The first B-52's were built in the 50's.
AFAIK the US didn't have jet-powered bombers during WWII.  I think
the first jet-powered fighters were used in the Korean War to
counter Mig's.  (Putting on my history-channel watching hat.)
