Hello, My name is Jason and I am trying to install Freebsd and have been for the past three weeks. I have finally gotten to the point where I need to connect to the FTP site and install everything. Well, I think that the documentation for this OS is great; however, I find it very difficult to relate to and understand. It would also be helpful to have a listing of the minimal files you will need to install and how big they are. I am using a macintosh to d- load most of everything I have now, but I don't know what I am going to need. This would be great for people like me who are wanting to try out FreeBSD for the first time and have MINIMAL equipment. And I don't mean like a 486 intel computer with a 400Mb HDD and a 28.8 connection; I'm talking about a Macintosh, 14.4 connection using AOhell, a 486 computer without internet connection, and 342Mb HHD space. Now if you can put a document out that specifically instructs someone how to put the minimal OS on the 486 (without using a CD-ROM....I don't have one) I will kiss your feet.
