Anything else you want merged in either direction? There's a lot of output from "cvs diff -c -r RELENG_2_1_0" on the handbook.... Is all that meant to be there? I can see a couple of places where there are 2.1 specific changes.. I hadn't planned on actually touching the stuff (except the contrib.sgml file that I mentioned to Jordan) as I dont know sgml or the doc encoding that we use well enough... I did notice that the in the history.sgml file, Jordan's added and markup which sgmlfmt seems to complain about.. Somebody with more experience than I needs to look at this.. :-) I think it should be an but I'm not sure. I'd much rather somebody else put their backside on the line doing the 2.1<->2.2 merges here.. It's too dangerous for me to do considering my lack of sgml-ability.... :-) I was just going to look after the tags.. :-) -Peter > Jordan > From owner-cvs-share Tue Nov 14 14:29:46 1995 Return-Path: owner-cvs-share Received: (from root@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.6.12/8.6.6) id OAA19037 for cvs-share-outgoing; Tue, 14 Nov 1995 14:29:46 -0800 Received: (from peter@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.6.12/8.6.6) id OAA19014 ; Tue, 14 Nov 1995 14:29:39 -0800 Date: Tue, 14 Nov 1995 14:29:39 -0800 From: Peter Wemm Message-Id: <199511142229.OAA19014@freefall.freebsd.org> To: CVS-commiters, cvs-share Subject: cvs commit: src/share/doc/handbook contrib.sgml Sender: owner-cvs-share@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk peter 95/11/14 14:29:38 Modified: share/doc/handbook contrib.sgml Log: Add "what I'm responsible for" to the contrib.sgml file... See my mail in freebsd-stable (followed by another e-mail from Jordan when he woke up :-) ). Basically, it came out with the following errors when run earlier today: ===> share/zoneinfo umask 022; cd /usr/src/share/zoneinfo; zic -d /usr/share/zoneinfo -p America/New_York -L /dev/null -y /usr/src/share/zoneinfo/obj/yearistype africa antarctica asia australasia etcetera europe factory northamerica southamerica systemv "/dev/null", line 1: input line of unknown type "/dev/null", line 2: input line of unknown type "/dev/null", line 3: input line of unknown type *** Error code 1 Stop. I can't see any reason for running it with /dev/null as an argument anyhow, it's probably better not to call it with -L at all unless you are using the leapseconds facility. So I made the change. This was holding up 2.1. Hence the quick copy of this onto the 2.1 branch (with Jordan's full knowledge & permission BTW. I was on the phone to him at the time).
