I used the boot.flp and installed over the net and this seems to be missing. I looked around on the ftp site and did not see another way to re-create it without downloading each file. Is there a better way, or does this mean that the install did not complete correctly. I would rather not re-install because I have compiled and installed a kernel with support for my soundcard etc... The 2.1 install will offer to make a link tree to the CDROM version of ports, but that doesn't happen with an FTP install. If you want just the ports collection, go to http://www.freebsd.org and follow the signs. You'll have the chance to download all of /usr/ports as a single 2MB ports.tar.gz file. Is there a way to install things like audio, fvwm, etc. during the install ? So you don't have to compile them ? Doing the make under the ports tee takes a fairly long period of time and resources. I have a rather long list of stuff I want on the system. Thanks --Jeff
