I just noticed this in the bin.?? distribution:

-r--r--r-- bin/bin           26376 Sep 29 07:16 1995 usr/lib/libgcc.so.261.0

Didn't we stop producing this as a shared library?  Even the one on my 
-stable system has a timestamp of June 10 (and I've done numerous make 
world since then).
