I'm puzzled by this since in my CVSROOT there is a val-tags file dated Sep 23 already containing the exact above- mentioned contents. I suspect you will find the same in yours. I'm a bit paranoid about trashing my archive after some earlier fun and games with getting an incomplete archive back in sync so I've written a shell script that does all sorts of checks before applying any deltas. It didn't choke on editing the val-tags file (since I've already got one) but it did throw up a large number of problems a sample of which is included below. It's not exactly what you surmise but the end effect is the same. I originally got my starter copy of the CVS tree from a local mirror here in OZ and with a bit of jiggery-pokery, managed to get it in sync with the deltas coming in. There were missing subdirectories and out of sync files but I managed to clean all that up (so I thought). Every now and then a little surprise pops up to keep me awake. :->. What has obviously happened is the mirror site from which I grabbed the tree must have had either an illegal copy of the DES stuff (or had installed the international version - yes that certainly must have been what they had done :->.) and these three directories eBones, kerberosIV, and secure have been lying dormant in my tree and are now conflicting with what you mention above. OK, that's easy, I'll just rm -rf those 3. I had no idea that this stuff was now exportable. Does that mean you are out of business with your international version? :->. It was just a sheer coincidence that my `problem' happened to come up on the very delta where someone else had an obviously totally unrelated problem. I'm still curious as to the story on the val-tags file.
