Additionally, it says if it is not used in the beginning of the user name, it is ok to use hyphen. (Well, actually, it just says don't use it in the front of the login name.) Now, adduser rejects underscore and hyphen. Pw useradd accepts `_' but rejects `-'. Is there any explicit source code or documentation stating about legal characters for logins?
