I see the ioctl call for attribute memory but I am unclear as to how to get at common. Any hints for a new pcmcia programmer. I had absolutely no success on toshiba's, and some success on NEC versa/P. Avoid using irq 3, configure and test the card using the windows drivers they provide. After it is configured and working in DOS, copy down the config information reboot fbsd and do a kernel -c to supply the proper setup info. Remember that on some notebooks it will not work no matter what you do :-( I eventually returned the 3c589c card and got some b rev's. You should try the new pccard support for 2.1 and current. It has worked as advertised for me and should support the C rev unless you have one of those "will never work" notebooks. so a quick "good job" for hosokawa@mt.cs.keio.ac.jp and it gets my vote as the first thing you should try :-) Jim Leppek > From patrick@bikini.ecom.unimelb.edu.au Wed Apr 10 06:54:00 1996 > From: Patrick Pleass > Subject: 3c589c pcmcia > To: jleppek@suw2k.hisd.harris.com > Date: Wed, 10 Apr 1996 20:58:05 +1000 (EST) > X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4 PL23] > Content-Type> : > text> > > > Hi there.. > > did you ever manage to get this working? > > with FreeBSD that is > > I am pulling my hair out > > Pat > From owner-freebsd-mobile Sat Apr 13 09:37:05 1996 Return-Path: owner-mobile Received: (from root@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.7.3/8.7.3) id JAA01687 for mobile-outgoing; Sat, 13 Apr 1996 09:37:05 -0700 (PDT) Received: from frig.mt.cs.keio.ac.jp (frig.mt.cs.keio.ac.jp [131.113.32.7]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.7.3/8.7.3) with SMTP id JAA01676 for ; Sat, 13 Apr 1996 09:36:54 -0700 (PDT) Received: (from hosokawa@localhost) by frig.mt.cs.keio.ac.jp (8.6.12+2.4W/3.4Wbeta3) id BAA02594; Sun, 14 Apr 1996 01:36:45 +0900 Date: Sun, 14 Apr 1996 01:36:45 +0900 Message-Id: <199604131636.BAA02594@frig.mt.cs.keio.ac.jp> To: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org Subject: pccard-test-960414 is now available!
