I've added a 810meg hd and 24 meg ran as per Tatsumi Hosokawa's instructions. It works very well. I have Windows95 on a 225 meg partition. HOWEVER, I am having difficulty loading FreeBSD on it. :-( My plan was to use plip with a laplink cable connected to my FreeBSD server. I boot with FreeBSD-RELEASE 2.1. The kernel boots and I see "lp0 TCP/IP capable interface". I go through all the disk setup and partitioning O.K. When the system gets to "configuring lp0" a message appears: "Unable to configure the lp0 interface! This installation method cannot be used." In the BIOS setup I have the parallel port set to 378H - IRQ 7. This matches the default kernel driver parameters. I've cycled through all the available BIOS parallel port modes: standard, bidirectional(ps2), enhanced parallel port (EPP), and extended Capabilities Port(ECP). I always get the same "Unable to configure....) message. Any help will be greatly appreciated. The only other options I have here are a few floppies (bad), and a megahertz xj2288 modem. Thanks for the help in advance!
