Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-scsi@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk I recently got some new hardware which involved, among other things, changing from an Adaptec 1542C SCSI controller to an ASUS SC200. I'm having two problems that may be related. First, shortly after the disk checks in the boot sequence, I get serveral instances the message: sd0(ncr0:0:0): extraneous data discarded. I also get them when gaining access to my Archive Viper 150 tape drive. Second, my Archive Viper 150 tape drive no longer streams. It spends more time stopping and starting than writing which makes the backup take forever! Clues? -john
