I have an configuration tool I wrote about 2 years ago which allows you to setup your system. It uses a modified LINT called option.list, which has all the options. You can enable/disable any devices. It also allows dependencies (sub-menu selectable only after option is enabled), needs (cannot enable unless `x' is enabled) and conflicts (irq, drq, i/o). It needs: a) better user interface (b/w curses now) b) ability to add devices not in option.list c) dynamic devices (copy ed1 from ed0 then modify, needs `b') d) F1 help screens (has multiline description fields now) e) some pesticide probably 8) Is anyone interested in seeing it? Or is it too old fashioned for what you are working on? brian +-------------------------------------+----------------------------------------+ He rides a cycle of mighty days, and \ Wm Brian and Lori McCane he represents the last great schizm \ McCane Consulting among the gods.
