(2.2 would be ideal but at the moment I will take what I can get.) Code was submitted by Jason Thorpe as "Problem Report kern/120" way back in October. Linux, NetBSD, and OpenBSD(?) have working tape changer code and with very nice tape changers for $300-700 on the market now I know I am personally seeing more people buying them.
