There may be links to ".tgz" files on ftp.freebsd.org, but that is a completely different machine, using ftp protocols, not HTTP with handy content-type identification. Is the site down? I was successful in connecting to the Canada site, but apparently doing a search operation causes the Canada site to try to access the main site so that's not working. I don't think the 4.4BSD documentation should be mirrored on all our FreeBSD WWW mirror sites. The total size of all ASCII + Postscript + HTML files is ~15MB. The gzip'd ASCII and PS files (~10MB) may distributed with FTP from ftp.freebsd.org. I read the log files and there are only 56 hits from 10 different users (+you, Jordan, and me). If you want www.ua.freebsd.org to work then you must first find some well-connected (and well administered) site willing to host local DNS for your country. Should you locate such a site, send mail to hostmaster@freebsd.org when you have all the details about its IP address and adminstrator name/email address ready. The alias ``hostmaster@ua.freebsd.org'' should also point to this individual, and you should make sure that works before sending notice to the hostmaster at freebsd.org.
