Hi there.

Can't get the latest port of mySQL
to run. Compiles and installs OK
but mysqld core dumps as soon as I
run mysql. Have tried to configure
with with-debug but, alas and alack,
no joy.

Also made world to latest 2.2-Stable
. . . the mysqld still core dumps.

made clean and configured for 
with-mit-pthreads. Yep, still
core dumps.

Help!
