First, please save a copy of the bad file. I'd like to know whether it's a 1-bit error. That would indicate memory or SCSI problems. Then, ideally, grab the good file manually from freefall. Put it somewhere on the same filesystem as your repository. Then move it into place atomically using "mv". Or, just remove the file and let your next hourly update pick it up. This is NOT a problem at cvsup.freebsd.org, and there is NO file corruption there. Martin simply has an out of date version of CVSup, and needs to upgrade to the current version. For all the gory details, please see question #17 of the CVSup FAQ, at http://www.polstra.com/projects/freeware/CVSup/faq.html Sorry I didn't realize what was going on sooner. New location, new server, new people... We are busy to settle the server now. In this time we should mirror some part of freebsd.org services for local users. Can you help us? - FTP mirror. I know how to use 'mirror' program. In FTP mirroring, is there a general policy to local domain administrators? (account devoted to mirror, or some other solution other than 'mirror' ftp.freebsd.org). Should I mirror XFree86 also? - WWW mirror. Like the FTP mirror, is there are special method? I know WWW sources are maintaining under CVS. Then WWW mirroring is just checking out recent `www-all' from cvsup.freebsd.org? And, we are planning to official WWW mirror to non-root directory of our web server(http://www.kr.freebsd.org/www.freebsd.org/). What thing should I take care of? - CVS/CVSup mirror. What procedure should be done for CVS mirroring? Current we have no committers, so I think it's sufficient for building just CVSup mirrors. And, we have about 3.5G left for above three thing. Is it sufficient for mirroring all the datas? We welcome any example setup for other countries, comments, helps. We don't have any special accounts, but we can add your server to our 'mirrors' class, which will allow it to get in when we're otherwise at the user limit. -DG David Greenman Co-founder/Principal Architect, The FreeBSD Project To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hubs" in the body of the message
