I suspect that you'll need something similar to /sys/pci/if_ed_p.c (the PCI interface for the ed driver) to get this to work. I recommend looking at how the ed driver handles this (/sys/i386/isa/if_ed.c). Then do something similar :-) Note that I have an ISA ed card, but the if_ed_p.c gets included anyway. /sys/conf/files is set up so that if_ed_p.c depends on just having a ``device ed0'' in the kernel config file. AFAIK for a PCI device you only need something like "controller telpci0". Everything is automagically handled by the PCI code (once you figure out what's required). A first step wouold be to install the new card and then ``boot -v'' and note the values which are emitted for the card. This will tell you things like the manufacturer number, etc. You'll need this to recognize the card in the probe/attach. Again, look at how if_ed_p.c does it. --- Gary Jennejohn Home - garyj@muc.de Work - garyj@fkr.dec.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-isdn" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-isdn Tue Jun 30 14:34:15 1998 Return-Path: Received: (from majordom@localhost) by hub.freebsd.org (8.8.8/8.8.8) id OAA09013 for freebsd-isdn-outgoing; Tue, 30 Jun 1998 14:34:15 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from owner-freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG) Received: from spock.spacequest.hs (in19.fto.de [193.197.153.148]) by hub.freebsd.org (8.8.8/8.8.8) with ESMTP id OAA08895 for ; Tue, 30 Jun 1998 14:33:57 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from hschaefer@fto.de) Received: from localhost (localhost.spacequest.hs [127.0.0.1]) by spock.spacequest.hs (8.8.8/8.8.7) with SMTP id XAA02752; Tue, 30 Jun 1998 23:13:59 +0200 (CEST) (envelope-from hschaefer@fto.de) Date: Tue, 30 Jun 1998 23:13:59 +0200 (CEST) From: Heiko Schaefer X-Sender: heiko@spock.spacequest.hs To: Hellmuth Michaelis cc: freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: No space in TX FIFO - finally succeeded In-Reply-To: Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Hi all, > > i4b now works for me, I had a USB-device interfering on IRQ 9, > > which was supposed to be only for my Creatix Card. > > Fine !!! > > Now what shall i put into the FAQ for this ;-) ? when i changed the mainboard of a box that ran i4b alright, i forgot to set 'used by isa' in the pnp-bios-settings for the irq of my teles isdn-card. because of that some pci-card got the interrupt that the isdn-card should have gotten. i then also got this error: 'No space in TX FIFO'.
