QT free edition for *NIX is _Free_ and KDE team uses it for FREE product. I use KDE on Linux and FreeBSD and happy with it :-) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mozilla" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-mozilla Mon May 25 23:41:51 1998 Return-Path: Received: (from majordom@localhost) by hub.freebsd.org (8.8.8/8.8.8) id XAA03069 for freebsd-mozilla-outgoing; Mon, 25 May 1998 23:41:51 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from owner-freebsd-mozilla@FreeBSD.ORG) Received: from camel14.mindspring.com (camel14.mindspring.com [207.69.200.64]) by hub.freebsd.org (8.8.8/8.8.8) with ESMTP id XAA03054 for ; Mon, 25 May 1998 23:41:47 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from adric@adric.com) Received: from adric.com (camel27.mindspring.com [207.69.200.77]) by camel14.mindspring.com (8.8.5/8.8.5) with ESMTP id CAA17957 for ; Tue, 26 May 1998 02:41:43 -0400 (EDT) Message-ID: <356A715F.31D40EEE@adric.com> Date: Tue, 26 May 1998 03:38:07 -0400 From: Adric Organization: adric.com X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.05 [en] (X11; I; FreeBSD 3.0-CURRENT i386) MIME-Version: 1.0 To: mozilla@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: Motif requirement References: <6k6va4$a74@elit.elit.chernigov.ua> <356948D7.5DD9AB90@cn.ua> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-freebsd-mozilla@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Alexey Lukin wrote: > Adric wrote: > I'm not a exepert in legal stuff, but is FreeBSD-Mozilla goes > commercial? > QT free edition for *NIX is _Free_ and KDE team uses it for FREE > product. > I use KDE on Linux and FreeBSD and happy with it :-) > Great. Just don't develop any QT-based programs you want to sell, or otherwise distributeunder anything but GPL or BSD license. Better yet, shun QT and C++ :P As for QT providing useful program constructs that dreduce development time substantially, I don't doubt it. I'd recommend Java for such things though.. Religious issues aside... I've been doing some work on this stuff (licenses) this year. Have a look at it if ye want, link off my index page: http://adric.home.mindspring.com On a completely different, more topical note, how often are binaries of Mozilla-FreeBSD being churned, and where can I fetch them? (I can't spare 130 MB + of /usr/src just yet ... Working on it) And are you using the Cryptozilla patches yet?
