Sender: owner-freebsd-multimedia@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Hi all, I'm trying to get an AudioTrix Pro (CS4231-based) working under -current using Luigi Rizzo's snd driver. The problem is that I don't hear any sound when playing .wav files. kernel config entry: device pcm0 at isa ? port ? tty irq 11 drq 3 flags 0x10 vector pcmintr boot -v output: mss_probe: no address supplied, try default 0x530 mss_detect - chip revision 0x0a mss_detect() - Detected CS4231 pcm0 at 0x530 irq 11 drq 3 flags 0xa210 on isa mss_attach 0 at 0x530 irq 11 dma 3:0 flags 0xa210 /dev/sndstat says: FreeBSD Audio Driver (980215) Aug 22 1998 21:48:53 Installed devices: pcm0: at 0x530 irq 11 dma 3:0 I've tried including ``controller pnp0'' too but that doesn't make any difference. The DOS setuppro utility confirms these settings for the wave device, and it does work there :-/. I do get this message every time I try to play a .wav file using splay: Aug 23 14:15:11 jos /kernel: FIOASYNC (from /sys/i386/isa/snd/sound.c(808), afaict) Would anyone have any idea what I could be doing wrong?
