This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0004_01BD8128.920D1DD0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I have a generic 56.6K modem installed in com3 IRQ5. I configured my = kernel to use this port but at boot up, it can't find any device. = Obviously when I try to use cuaa2, it returns "device not configured". = My modem works correctly in my WinNt partition though. The only = difference is that the base address under WInNt is set as "default" and = in BSD is set to 0x3e8 I believe. However, BSD config. utility requests = base addresses in the range no larger than 0x2... Is there any way I = can figure out ehat is the correct base address for COM3?? Thanks in advance. ------=_NextPart_000_0004_01BD8128.920D1DD0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META content=3Dtext/html;charset=3Diso-8859-1 = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D'"MSHTML 4.72.2106.6"' name=3DGENERATOR> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>I have a generic 56.6K modem = installed in com3=20 IRQ5.
