Hello, this is jun-ichiro itoh. I asked the folloing to Jason but he notified me that he's not working on freebsd/sparc recently, so I would like to ask any of you about this... Any hints or pointers would be really helpful. Thanks! itojun PS: sorry, I'm not in freebsd-sparc mailing list. ------- Forwarded Message To: jasone@canonware.com Subject: "config" for sparc port X-Template-Reply-To: itojun@itojun.org X-Template-Return-Receipt-To: itojun@itojun.org X-PGP-Fingerprint: F8 24 B4 2C 8C 98 57 FD 90 5F B4 60 79 54 16 E2 From: Jun-ichiro itojun Itoh <itojun@iijlab.net> Date: Tue, 30 Jun 1998 00:34:54 +0900 Message-ID: <20953.899134494@coconut.itojun.org> Sender: itojun@coconut.itojun.org Hello, this is jun-ichiro itoh from Japan. I read http://www.freebsd.org/~jseger/freebsd-sparc/ and figured that you are working on freebsd/sparc (really sorry if I'm wrong). Question: what is your plan for bus/device driver framework? Do you plan to use "old config" (used for 2.2.x-RELEASE), or "new config" (4.4BSDs), or freebsd/alpha new framework? We, PAO (laptop developers) developers are needing bus framework for cardbus, and curious about which framework will be used for the future.
