Hello to all members, 1. The Majordomo Listserver has been upgraded to the lastest version. There are some changes. As in the FreeBSD lists there is a message appended to the bottom of each email describing how to "Unsubscribe". PLEASE TAKE NOTICE....when you reply to an email, it will be to the email sender not to the list. This is consistent with the way we generally use our MTAs. To respond to the List, do a group reply. In elm for instance, this is "g". To subscribe to the list is still basically the same, except that we confirm subscriptions the same as the FreeBSD List do. 2. I am soliticing speakers for our next and future meetings. If you have an interesting presentation, or would like to make one, please email me with a general description and the length of time you would need for your presentation or talk. 3. The next meeting will be Thurday, 10 October 1998 at 1830 hours. Please set this time aside. We will hold the meeting in a restaurant such that dinner may be ordered. We are awaiting confirmation of the places that will hold such a "roudty group" as ours. An announcement as to the address will me made in the next few days. 4. Everyone is welcome to use the Mailing List to ask questions or to provide information relating to the FreeBSD operating system or to those of us who use the operating system. We are not and probably will never be as structured as FreeBSD.org. Until the meeting on 10 December, see you on the listserver!
