Subject: UMAX Actionbook 318T Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Sender: owner-freebsd-mobile@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Anyone installed FreeBSD on a UMAX Actionbook 318T Laptop? It's a K6-2 300MHz Processor...for some reason Installation hangs (actually hangs on kernel load) booting from 3.0-RELEASE or 2.2.8-RELEASE CDs or boot disks, as well as from the 2.2.7-PAO boot floppy. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, Also, if anyone can tell me where to get a CHEAP pcmcia ethernet card which works under FreeBSD (and MS operating systems), I would greatly appreciate it. (I did check the PAO page -- I am looking for something cheap)! Bill .......................................................................
