I know that a few things need to be done to get it to compile and install (i.e., remove the battery applet from the gnomecore build, and remove gnumeric and gtop from the gnome build), but even after everything else "successfully" installs, when I try and run gnome-session from .xinitrx or .xsession with startx, it takes a loooooooooong tiiiiiiiime to start up. The only clues I have as to problems are that I get an error about my locale not being supported in .xsession-errors (and every time I type anything in ETerm), and gnome-smproxy seems to core-dump... Also, is anyone working on a port of gdm (the GNOME desktop/login manager)?
