I run CLIP and/or SPANS on my ATM network, so my kernel config is: options ATM_CORE #core ATM protocol family options ATM_IP #IP over ATM support #options ATM_SIGPVC #SIGPVC signalling manager options ATM_SPANS #SPANS signalling manager options ATM_UNI #UNI signalling manager #device hea #Efficient ENI-155p ATM PCI device hfa #FORE PCA-200E ATM PCI Also, don't forget that you need to put the proper version of the microcode into /etc. Here is the version I use: 8 hole> ls -l pca200e.bin -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 40984 Oct 29 1999 pca200e.bin 9 hole> md5 pca200e.bin MD5 (pca200e.bin) = 86c3f62566483ba357e1228fbfb3ec62 Best, -Mike Muuss Senior Scientist Survivability and Lethality Analysis Directorate The U.S. Army Research Laboratory Attn: AMSRL-SL-BE APG, MD 21005-5068 USA My E-mail is My World-Wide-Web URL is http://ftp.arl.mil/~mike/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-atm" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-atm Thu Jul 20 13:14: 6 2000 Delivered-To: freebsd-atm@freebsd.org Received: from omega.uta.edu (omega.uta.edu [129.107.56.23]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6B4BC37C105 for ; Thu, 20 Jul 2000 13:14:02 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from kmh8684@omega.uta.edu) Received: (from kmh8684@localhost) by omega.uta.edu (8.9.2/8.9.2) id PAA29867; Thu, 20 Jul 2000 15:13:47 -0500 (CDT) Date: Thu, 20 Jul 2000 15:13:47 -0500 (CDT) From: Karim M Halai Message-Id: <200007202013.PAA29867@omega.uta.edu> To: mike@ARL.ARMY.MIL Cc: freebsd-atm@freebsd.org In-reply-to: <200007201409.aa267468@CAD.ARL.ARMY.MIL> (message from Mike Muuss on Thu, 20 Jul 2000 14:09:15 EDT) Subject: Re: Forerunner LE 155 Sender: owner-freebsd-atm@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Hello, Thanks for your help regarding the ATM adapter. I was wondering if you can give me some idea of how to go about with my setup. I have two machines that I would like them to communicate via a Forerunner LE155 switch. Apart from kernel compile on both machines, what needs to be done (configuring the switch e.t.c)and if possible if you can point me to documentation it would be of great help. Look forward hearing from you. Take care and thanks again. -- Karim Halai kmh8684@omega.uta.edu ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-atm" in the body of the message
