Previous behaviour would spin in a tight loop polling continuously, which made temp-watch unsuitable to leave running all the time. It needs recent versions of -stable (sometime around the 5th of may, I think) (or -current from a few weeks before that) to run, but it's quiet enough now that you can leave this running all the time without worrying about how it's chewing up CPU performance. We can probably discover a lot more insecure tempfile names out of this now (mostly from ports, I'd expect) Kris ---- In God we Trust -- all others must submit an X.509 certificate. -- Charles Forsythe ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Fri, 26 May 2000 12:01:10 -0700 (PDT) From: Kris Kennaway To: cvs-committers@FreeBSD.org, cvs-all@FreeBSD.org Subject: cvs commit: ports/security/l0pht-watch/patches patch-ab patch-ac kris 2000/05/26 12:01:10 PDT Modified files: security/l0pht-watch/patches patch-ab patch-ac Log: Add kqueue() support for recent versions of -stable as well now that they have it.
