http://www.interbase.com/open/news/40FreeBSD.html

has a poll whether the mankind needs an official FreeBSD port of
Interbase 6.0.

Interbase.com also has provided instructions for running Linux Interbase
6.0 under FreeBSD 4.0.

Hey FreeBSD'rs....

In my continuing saga to have FreeBSD/Apache/php3/Sybase
all play together, I got a message from Sybase concerning
the upcoming Native FreeBSD SDK for Open Client.

Here's my problem...

> > canaan# apachectl start

> > /usr/lib/libcs.so: Undefined symbol "intl_cstrbuild"
> > /usr/local/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started

Here's the startling revelation...

Excellent news!

The original 11.0.3 Linux server was a nightmare to install on FreeBSD
though - I never succeeded... hopefully this has changed?

Now, how do we get them to do a native server for FreeBSD :)

Alan

If it just the client you need, you could have been using FreeTDS
(http://www.freetds.org) already.

Tom
