This happens rather frequently, probably most often on card eject, although it happens other times as well. The two modem cards that this occurs with are: MEGAHERTZ CC/XJEM3336 (modem of multifunction) U.S. Robotics XJ/CC1560J The XJ/CC1560J causes the lock up more frequently. Other than locking up the system, the modems work. The XJ/CC1560J perfectly, the CC/XJEM3336 has some issues with multi-second pauses (which I believe is unrelated). The system is a Sharp Actus 290 with a Ricoh RL5C475 PCI-CardBus Bridge. pccard.conf has: irq 15 memory 0xd0000 16k although experimenting with other values hasn't resulted in any improvement. dmesg output appended; any suggest greatly appreciated, Mark apm0: on motherboard apm: found APM BIOS v1.2, connected at v1.2 npx0: on motherboard npx0: INT 16 interface pcib0: on motherboard pci0: on pcib0 pci0: at 2.0 irq 0 rl0: port 0xf800-0xf8ff mem 0xfeddfc00-0xfeddfcff irq 10 at device 3.0 on pci0 rl0: Ethernet address: 08:00:1f:06:d3:8e miibus0: on rl0 rlphy0: on miibus0 rlphy0: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto isab0: at device 7.0 on pci0 isa0: on isab0 atapci0: port 0xfc90-0xfc9f at device 7.1 on pci0 ata0: at 0x1f0 irq 14 on atapci0 uhci0: port 0xfca0-0xfcbf irq 10 at device 7.2 on pci0 usb0: on uhci0 usb0: USB revision 1.0 uhub0: Intel UHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1 uhub0: 2 ports with 2 removable, self powered chip1: port 0x2180-0x218f at device 7.3 on pci0 pcic-pci0: at device 10.0 on pci0 pci0: (vendor=0x125d, dev=0x1969) at 11.0 pci0: (vendor=0x134d, dev=0x7890) at 12.0 sc0: on isa0 sc0: VGA <4 virtual consoles, flags=0x200> vga0: at port 0x3c0-0x3df iomem 0xa0000-0xbffff on isa0 atkbdc0: at port 0x60,0x64 on isa0 atkbd0: irq 1 on atkbdc0 psm0: irq 12 on atkbdc0 psm0: model IntelliMouse, device ID 3 fdc0: at port 0x3f0-0x3f5,0x3f7 irq 6 drq 2 on isa0 fdc0: FIFO enabled, 8 bytes threshold fd0: <1440-KB 3.5" drive> on fdc0 drive 0 ppc0: parallel port not found. pcic0: at port 0x3e0-0x3e1 on isa0 pcic0: management irq 3 pccard0: on pcic0 unknown: can't assign resources unknown: can't assign resources unknown: can't assign resources unknown: can't assign resources unknown: can't assign resources ad0: 8623MB [17520/16/63] at ata0-master using UDMA33 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
