I wouldnt bother with the Promise RAID controller. From what I = understand, most of the RAID functionality is done in the drivers. I have only had experience with the FastTrak66 and I was less than happy with it.=20 On the other hand, 3ware.com makes an excellent IDE raid contoller and I have had great luck with it on FreeBSD, Linux and win2k.
