Basically, I need to be sure I've included all the files, and that the tarball works on old versions of FreeBSD 4.x. Can anyone help? The required platform data: uname -a FreeBSD marvin.wass.net 4.1.1-STABLE FreeBSD 4.1.1-STABLE #5: Sat Dec 30 20:48:32 EST 2000 cwass@marvin.wass.net:/usr/src/sys/compile/MARVIN i386 I would comment on the link in the tarball, though. The link and subsequent target already existed on this particular box which has never run DNS in the past. I would suggest this means it is not needed here, unless there is a reason it would not already exist. I tested it's ability to act as a forward-only DNS and as a primary with only a localhost forward and reverse zone. I'm guessing you were more interested in testing the install, rather than specific functionality. Hope this helps, let me know if you need more specific information or testing.
