My kernel is properly compiled ( I believe ), with "pseudo-device token" and "device oltr0", and the card is correctly detected at bootup time. Problems start when I try to configure the card : ifconfig oltr0 inet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx oltr0: unknown open error (4) oltr0: spurious interrupt oltr0: not multicast capable, IPv6 not enabled Even if it seems to use the IP adress I gave it, there is no link activity neither on the token ring switch nor on the card, and of course FreeBSD says me that the network is down when I try to ping. any ideas of what's wrong ??? thanx for your answer. ps. can you cc me, I'm not on the list. -- ------------------------------- --> julien@iside.net ------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-tokenring" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-tokenring Wed Sep 26 4:17: 7 2001 Delivered-To: freebsd-tokenring@freebsd.org Received: from mail.iside.net (ns2.iside.net [212.73.214.202]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 87AB137B41A for ; Wed, 26 Sep 2001 04:17:04 -0700 (PDT) Received: from [195.154.28.99] (account ) by mail.iside.net (CommuniGate Pro WebUser 3.4.7) with HTTP id 3902676 for ; Wed, 26 Sep 2001 13:10:35 +0200 From: Subject: HELP needed with Olicom 3540 and 4.3 To: tokenring@freebsd.org X-Mailer: CommuniGate Pro Web Mailer v.3.4.7 Date: Wed, 26 Sep 2001 13:10:35 +0200 Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Sender: owner-freebsd-tokenring@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hi all, I'm currently trying to use an Olicom 3540 in a compaq proliant dl360, with 4.3-RC2 .
