I am at a loss, since I can't seem to be able to find out what is the problem. I am using an ASUS CU4VX Dual Proc motherboard with an lge Gigabit ethernet and a PCA200E card. All board have a separate IRQ. And I am using FreeBSD 4.5 I keep getting "lge0 up" messages in the in the logs, I don't quite understand what this means since the interface is always up (should be) but I don't get any messsages concerning the hfa0 atm interface. Would anyone know what to do ? or what could be the problem ? I think the ATM stack needs a major overall in STABLE. -- =============================================================== Christophe Prevotaux Email: c.prevotaux@hexanet.fr HEXANET SARL URL: http://www.hexanet.fr/ Z.A.C Les Charmilles Tel: +33 (0)3 26 79 30 05 3 Allée Thierry Sabine Direct: +33 (0)3 26 61 77 72 BP202 Fax: +33 (0)3 26 79 30 06 51686 Reims Cedex 2 FRANCE HEXANET Network Operation Center =============================================================== To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-atm" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-atm Wed Jun 19 1:58: 9 2002 Delivered-To: freebsd-atm@freebsd.org Received: from proton.hexanet.fr (proton.hexanet.fr [81.23.32.33]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 59C9E37B414 for ; Wed, 19 Jun 2002 01:58:04 -0700 (PDT) Received: from hexanet.fr (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by proton.hexanet.fr (8.12.3/8.12.3) with SMTP id g5J8w2fS007023 for ; Wed, 19 Jun 2002 10:58:02 +0200 (CEST) (envelope-from c.prevotaux@hexanet.fr) Date: Wed, 19 Jun 2002 10:58:02 +0200 From: Christophe Prevotaux To: atm@freebsd.org Subject: PCA200E Message-Id: <20020619105802.6cfc56d9.c.prevotaux@hexanet.fr> Organization: HEXANET Sarl X-Mailer: Sylpheed version 0.7.4 (GTK+ 1.2.10; i386-portbld-freebsd4.4) X-NCC-RegID: fr.hexanet Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Sender: owner-freebsd-atm@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Hi, I was wondering what would be the correct value of the MTU including LLC/SNAP in if_atm.h is the value (without LLC/SNAP) was 4470 I heard that the correct MTU value for LLC/SNAP was not 9180 (like it is by default in the code) but 9188. One more information i can provide is that everytime I try to do a cvsup from the machine containing the PCA200E I get a Treelist failed (network error) message. However If I do the same thing from a machine on the network which gets its packets routed to the internet thru the machine containing the lge0 and an hfa0 (PCA200E) , everything goes fine. This seems fairly strange to me. Has anyone got any explanation or way to fix this ? -- =============================================================== Christophe Prevotaux Email: c.prevotaux@hexanet.fr HEXANET SARL URL: http://www.hexanet.fr/ Z.A.C Les Charmilles Tel: +33 (0)3 26 79 30 05 3 Allée Thierry Sabine Direct: +33 (0)3 26 61 77 72 BP202 Fax: +33 (0)3 26 79 30 06 51686 Reims Cedex 2 FRANCE HEXANET Network Operation Center =============================================================== To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-atm" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-atm Wed Jun 19 13:23: 4 2002 Delivered-To: freebsd-atm@freebsd.org Received: from venus.vincentjardin.net (AVelizy-102-1-1-80.abo.wanadoo.fr [193.253.255.80]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 5343B37B40B for ; Wed, 19 Jun 2002 13:23:02 -0700 (PDT) Received: by venus.vincentjardin.net (Postfix, from userid 501) id 6CF861503A0; Wed, 19 Jun 2002 22:33:38 +0200 (CEST) Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-15" From: Vincent Jardin To: freebsd-atm@freebsd.org Subject: Fore PCA, LE and HE Date: Wed, 19 Jun 2002 22:33:38 +0200 X-Mailer: KMail [version 1.3.1] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Message-Id: <20020619203338.6CF861503A0@venus.vincentjardin.net> Sender: owner-freebsd-atm@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org I am wondering about the differences between these 3 kinds of board.
